Etsy CLOSING DOWN SALE! Featuring Ladybird Ring

In case you missed the title of this post, here I go again

I'm having a CLOSING DOWN SALE in my ETSY SHOP

In reality, this means I spent Saturday taking lots of pictures of my stock, starting to edit them on PhotoBucket (which for some reason has given several on my photo's a 'browned out' section along the bottom) and re-listing them on Etsy!

Why? I hear you say. Or maybe I don't, maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Well, there are several reasons.

I have moved into a shared house, with a small bedroom so saying goodbye to my stock is a good idea.

I don't really have enough time to look for and go to craft fairs, besides which the times I have gone to craft fairs haven't been as successful as I'd like.

And finally, I am hoping to go traveling in the new year, so de-stashing and hopefully turning some of my assets into hard cash could help fund my dream.

So, what can you expect in my shop?

Well, those of you who have been following my blog for a while will probably know that one of the main items of jewellery I make are cross stitch rings, all of which are for sale for £4 or less, like this cute ladybird ring which is looking for a home to fly away to.

Of course, my cross stitch rings aren't the only things for sale, so why not head over to my Etsy Shop for a browse of the pendants, earrings, hairclips, keyrings and fridge magnets that are all also for sale.

More stock will be coming soon! I'm also still accepting custom orders (for as long as I have supplies) so if you want a different colour/ a different piece of jewellery with the same design, e.t.c. then please contact me!

Happy Sale Shopping!

Jewellery Sale: Cross Stitch Rings

Hooray! I've just accepted an offer for my house. Those of you who have been following my blog for a while may recall that my boyfriend and I broke up at the beginning of the year, and so had to put our house on the market. After several months of lots of viewings, culminating in dropping the price and my parents coming up to help me clear out some things, and making the house look more like a show house the hard work and patience has finally paid off.

That means the hard part starts next, as I will have to find somewhere else to live while having a very short term work contract (currently until the end of September, we'll hopefully have completed the sale in August). Eek! Obviously until I know what's happening with work/ house sale dates I can't actually look for anywhere to move too, but I can start with one very important job. Beginning to have a clear out of all my stuff. I have 2 bags of books and 1 bin bag of clothes to go to charity shops, and a lot of my cross stitch jewellery to sell. (There's no point taking it all with me as I'll probably rent a room in a shared house, so I won't have nearly as much space as I do now). This is good news for you, my dear readers, as it culminates in a JEWELLERY SALE! So, today, I'm going to list several of my cross stitch things for a quick sale on my blog. I will continue to have a 'sale page' with new items on it each week or so, until (hopefully) it's all sold! I have quite a lot of it, so it may take a while.

Today I'm going to start with some of my cross stitch rings. These would normally be £6 each but they are all for sale at half price, only £3 each. UK P+P is via Royal Mail 1st Class Post and is £1.50. I will combine postage for multiple items.

All rings are adjustable so they will fit most finger sizes. The cross stitch design is approximately 1.5cm in diameter. Please take care to not get the rings wet as the colours may run.

If you would like to purchase any of my rings, please email me at yousewshould.gmail.com or leave a comment below with your email address and I will contact you. Matching earrings and in some case pendants or hairclips may also be available, please email me if you are interested in a set.

My Top 5 Products!

I'd like to say I'd been busy adding lots of my stock to my new Etsy Shop. The reality is, unfortunately, rather lacking. I have still managed to post an average of 1 item a day after the initial burst of activity last Wednesday, when my shop launched, and I currently have 13 items in stock. Unlucky for some, so I guess I'd best get busy enhancing my photography skills and developing my Etsy shop further. I have yet to add any of my key rings, and I have many more designs of my rings, earrings, pendants, hair clips and fridge magnets just waiting to pose for me. They are clamouring to be seen by the masses, and soon they will be. At night when I get home from my day job as a Cell Biologist, I whisper to them 'patience, you're turn is coming' before selecting a few to photograph for the next day's listings. Currently, my shop is full of some of my favourite items, many of them new designs, but here is my top 5 pick.

No 1:
There's something about my ladybird pendant that I love. i can't decide if it's just that ladybirds are one my favourite insects, or if it's the boldness of the design, or the 3D seed bead detail. It's probably all three!

No 2:
Cupcakes are fashionable at the moment, but they're also delicious, and that's why this cute earrings come in at my number 2. I love that the colours are turned around, with a hot pink case and blue icing instead of the more common blue case and pink icing. The seed bead decoration is the cherry on the cake! (ok, pun is intended!)

No 3:
Seeing smiles makes me smile, and with all of the rain we're having at the moment, I need something to brighten up my day! These cheerful chappies are certainly busy smiling away, and encourage anyone who sees them to do the same. After all, that is their job, they're smilies!

No 4:
I'm not sure anyone is truly 'English' anymore; our history is riddled with invasions, be they upon us, or caused by us, we have met many many different races of people. As far back as the Vikings, and the Romans, to the British Empire, and more recent immigrants, I doubt any of us truly have English blood. After all, who doesn't like something that's exotic? I am still an English woman though, and proud to be one, despite all the things wrong with this country, after all, that's the case everywhere. As such, I am proud to wear my St Georges Flag ring.

No 5:
I love tulips. Along with daffodils, crocuses, and bluebells, are they one of the flowers that symbolise spring, and that means longer days, warmer nights and (just sometimes) less rain. The Tulip is embroidered rather than cross stitched, so it gives a different effect but is still bold and brilliant. And did I mention, Tulips come in all sorts of gorgeous colours!

What is your favourite item in my shop, or in your own? It's hard to choose, I love looking at Etsy and on Pinterest, the only trouble is tearing myself away from it all to stop and stitch!

Happy shopping!

Friday Finds:Etsy

Hello, and thanks for reading my first ever Friday Finds blog post. Since opening my own shop on Etsy earlier this week, (and quickly being a bit obsessed at scrolling through all of the wonderful crafty items on there) I have decided to show a few of my new found favourites each Friday.

This week I was busy browsing the jewellery, a girl can never have too much! it's also given me some inspiration for new designs, I'll keep you posted! Etsy has thousands of beautiful, unique handmade items, way too many to just have 'jewellery' as my theme for this week. Narrowing it down, however, is no easy task, but after much deliberation, and further Etsy finds, I have decided to feature flowers for this week. It is summer after all!

I just love the bold red colour of this beautiful flower pendant by artyscapes.

Classic and contemporary, this lovely adjustable ring from Just Gorgeous Things (JGT's) is perfect for those looking for something elegant.

These beautiful Hibiscus Flower earrings by Sweetie2Sweetie are absolutely gorgeous, I love the colours (Purple is my favourite after all).
For delicate metal-heads out there, this intricate trailing flower pendant by Alwaysabridesmaid is a beautiful adornment.

Fans of cherry blossom will love HapaGirls cute creation.

ShuliDesigns wastes no time with her polymer clay flower design. The detail is exquisite.

Right, I must stop browsing for a bit now and get stitching on my own jewellery!
